Why we built this
Kafue is enormous, under-visited and badly documented online. This guide is independent of every camp and operator in it, which is why we can tell you that several widely-listed lodges no longer trade.
How we verify a camp exists
Fees come from the official schedules published through the Zambia Tourism Agency and the Kafue Park Operators Association, not from copied blog posts, and every fees page shows when we last checked it. Kafue needs that discipline: no 2026 tariff has been published anywhere and several widely repeated figures are simply wrong.
The same goes for the rest of the guide. Closed lodges are marked as closed, every rate carries a date, and where an operator publishes nothing it says rates on request. Wildlife claims follow African Parks and conservation-research sources.
